The “1st International Research Forum in Education, Sciences and the Social Praxis (IRFESSP 2016)” is an event being launched so as to provide a chance and venue for researchers to come together for research presentations and disseminations. It shall also be a platform for healthy academic competitions for researchers.

 Theme: Research Forum towards Global Research
 
 Objectives:

  • To put together the researchers all over the world for sharing and exchange of research findings;
  • To be updated with research cultures that are emerging in other academic communities across the globe;
  • To provide a chance for researchers to have their papers be chosen for research publications; and,
  • To have one’s research paper be recognized for its merits.


 Expected Attendees:

  • Attendees may either be Paper Presenter (Competition or Plain) or Participant
  • Researchers and Teachers from Public and Private Elementary and High schools
  • Faculty and Personnel Researchers from Higher Educational Institutions
  • Graduate Students


 There shall be two clusters of paper presenters, and these are:

  • The Competition Cluster; and,
  • The Plain Presentation Cluster.


 Anybody who has a completed paper may choose whether to join the

1. Competition Cluster or the
2. Plain Presentation Cluster.


The Competition Cluster shall be where all those who will signify their intention to compete will present their papers altogether in front of two judges while those who will signify their intention to present their papers without competing will present their papers without the judges.

The Competition Cluster Mechanics:

  1. Papers and Presenters will be judged by two judges who are experts in research.
  2. Only papers and presenters who signified their intention to compete will be put together in the Competition Cluster.
  3. Each Competition Presenter will have 10 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of chance to answer a maximum of two questions from each judge.
  4. The following Awards will be granted:

                      *Best Research Paper (in Social Praxis)
                      *Best Research Paper (in Education)
                      *Best Research Paper (in Science and Technology)
                      *Best Presenter (in Social Praxis)
                      *Best Presenter (in Education)
                      *Best Presenter (in Science and Technology)

      5.  Certificate of Recognition and Tokens shall be awarded the winners.

      6.  A power point of not more than 15 slides should be prepared containing only the following:

                      *Title of the paper;

                      *Problems/Objectives;

                      *Short Methodology;

                      *Findings including tables, graphs, and images;

                      *Conclusions; and,

                      *Recommendations.


The Plain Presentations Mechanics:
Papers and presenters not interested in competition will be scheduled in the Plain Presentations Cluster.
There will be no judges in the Presentations Cluster but fellow presenters and participants may also ask questions after each presentation. Each presenter is given 15 minutes to present his/her paper and answer questions from the audience.

A power point of not more than 15 slides should be prepared containing only the following:

  1. Title of the paper;
  2. Problems/Objectives;
  3. Short Methodology;
  4. Findings including tables, graphs, and images;
  5. Conclusions; and,
  6. Recommendations.


 Selection of Abstracts for Presentation and Competition

All papers will be appraised by the Panel of Evaluators of   Asian Intellect FOR ACADEMIC ORGANIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT INC. using the Review of Abstracts Rating Sheet (RARS). Author/s of selected and accepted papers will be notified thru email and will be sent the RARS and Acceptance Letter. Selection process will be based but not limited to the following criteria:

Criteria for Abstract Acceptance

  • Originality
  • Research and Technical Merit
  • Grammarly
  • Impact and Relevance
  • Methods
  • Findings and Recommendations​

 Abstracts
Abstracts may be sent toasianintellectorg@gmail.comand cc to asianintellectorg@yahoo.com with subject matter of ‘ABSTRACT SUBMISSION to IRFESSP 2016’ not later than February 20, 2016. Abstracts should follow the format below:

  • Microsoft Office Word (Not PDF)
  • Not more than 300 words
  • Times New Roman Font 12, Single Spaced
  • Should contain the name of the authors/s; institution; contact numbers and email address
  • Should contain the ff.: Title;  Statement of the Problem/Objectives; Short Methodology; Concise Findings; and; Few recommendations;
  • Should also include three to five Keywords.


Book of Abstract
All submitted abstracts will be published to the ISBN – numbered “Asian Intellect Book of Abstracts”. All participants will be issued their own copy of the Book of Abstracts.

Journal Publication
Presented papers will have a chance to be published to any of our three journals subject to terms and mechanics for journal publication:

  • Asian Intellect Research and Education Journal, ISSN 2467-4885 (Printed);
  • Asian Intellect E-Journal for Science, Mathematics, and Technology, ISSN 2467-4915 (Online); and,
  • Asian Intellect E-Journal for Research, Education and Management, ISSN2467-4893 (Online).


All of the Asian Intellect Journals are refereed journals thru double-blind evaluation process. Evaluators are experts and practitioners in the fields of research here and abroad. Publication fee is P3500 inclusive of shipping. All the journals, whether Online or Printed, are to be released by October 2016.
 
Forum Proceedings
All presented papers (whether in Competition Cluster or in Plain Presentation Cluster) will be included in the ISSN-numbered “Asian Intellect Journal of Proceedings”. All participants, plain presenters, and competition presenters will be given an E-copy of the Proceedings.
 
Certificates for Presenters, Competitors, and Participants
All Paper Presenters will be given a Certificate of Presentation while all Participants will be issued Certificate of Participation. Only the presenter will be given the Certificate of Presentation. Meanwhile, competitors will be issued a Certificate of Competition. Certificates of Appearance will be given to all paper presenters, competitors, and participants.

 Venue
The venue, Camelot Hotel, found at 35 Mother Ignacia Street, Diliman, Quezon City, Philipines, is a 4-star medieval themed hotel which is unique, remarkable and intriguing because it reminds clients with kings, queens, prince, princesses, armoured soldiers and chivalry. It is near the University of the Philippines – Diliman; Trinoma Mall; SM City-North EDSA; Quezon City Memorial Circle; Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife; and, La Mesa Mini Forest.

 Speakers and Judges
The conference will present Keynote Speakers and Plenary Speakers coming from the Philippines and abroad. They will share about trends and updates in Research. Invited judges for the Competition Presentation Cluster are experts in Sciences, Education and Social Praxis researches.

CHED Endorsement
This international research forum is recognized and endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in its Memorandum from the Chairperson dated September 23, 2015.
